If you had an Asta distributer fitted to your car (unwitingly) could this possibly be the cause of the following problem?

Accelerates fine up to 5 - 5500 RPM but as soon as you hit these revs it will not rev any higher. It sounds like it is valve bouncing, but i know it isn't.

If the distributer was not the correct one, would it brake down under the higher demand on it at the higher revs therfore not giving the correct sparks etc etc.

you still not fixed it m8? and sold all my stuff the other week. I have the injection loom. ecu etc, but ricks m8 has the dizzy and engine parts. maybe make him an offer cyuz i think its the dizzy itself!

Yeah i'm looking for a dizzy, but dont wanna buy a new one cause its a bit of an expense just for a test! See if he wants to sell the dizzy.

Heh, silly me, i have the bloody dizzy in my garage, haha, when he told me he was running carbs i took it off becuase u need injection for it!
As you know it works Paul. If u get time u can come and test if that is the problem before you buy it.
?10 cuz it has brand new cap!
