Ok, the altenator may pose a problem them so. Where can the bracket and tensioner be gotten, anyone any details, pics etc on them?

you can either buy them or make them - the lowering plate you can make out of a square piece of plate with 4 holes drilled in - 2 to bolt it to the block and 2 to hold the old bracket lower - not sure on dimensions but im sure theres been a post - and as for the arm you can either buy or cut and weld 2 brackets together thus extending or am i right in thinking calibra ones fit?

sell the lowering bracket.

2.0 8v alternator tension arm fits, or as already said weld two together.

Also worth fitting a service kit to the carbs, unless the gaskets look as new.
If they look old/brittle, change them. Not worth bolting all the carbs up to find the bottom plate gasket leaks fuel when the bowls fill.

Had both serviced less that 100 miles ago!! What about inlets, wheres the best place to get them, and take my old one in PX? Its an 8v item but i'm gonna need a small block XE item.
