May well have 400bhp soon, but whats the driver like and what tyres, LSD etc etc, could be slower than a standard let up the strip if he cant get the power down...

So i choose to only watch out when he puts down a faster time than me, however then i will still not be that bothered because 300bhp through my front tyres is fine for me, any more and it will be uncontrollabel, no question of a doubt.

sorry i haven't got back to answer all of your questions.
believe me this thing is QUICK just ask RC he's seen this car.
i don't know the full spec but its got quaff diff and yes its grips very well.
its chip'd uprated inter-cooler don't no wot else has been done, but peeps if your gonna run big power uprate first.
this engine has lasted about a year at this spec but really as it his toy its not used a great deal, its broken at the mo. clutch n leaking water out of block.
that's why its having a re-build just to give it strength so it can run its power better.
its got toyo proxi's all round,cant fault those tyres.
O and were not chav's thanks but i txt more than i type sorry....

end of the day everybody is allowed there opinion doesn't bother me if some of you don't like it. it is just another nova.

this car is very clean the owner has done it all him self apart from the respray.
i think he has done very well in 6yr's of owning this car. it did start as a GSI the that engine got played wiv,soon got board then in went a C20XE, he got beaten by a turbo'd corsa at santa pod, so then he had to turbo his.
1/4 mile has been run at 12.8seconds at 112mph that was when it was at 277bhp.
last time he went up the strip it woulnd't boost properly.

FYI a friend of mine has enquired at quaife (if thats who he's using) about the power that the straight cut boxes will take and about 300bhp is the maximum and definately not to be used for balls out drag launches..

The F28 is heavy but, I've never heard of one breaking and there are one or two in scandinavia running 600+

People are slating the Speedlines & GSi look, but tbh the only reason its as popular as it is, is because ever since Novas became popular on the car modding scene, that kit was the stuff to have & was actually out of many peoples price range. PERIOD!
Things have come full circle, & most Novas are now in the hands of enthusiasts that arent chasing trends & fitting nasty fibreglass tat.

btw, if you had just said, 'heres my mates LET Nova, it runs 12.2 qtrs' you wouldnt have kopped as much flack.

keith, i have speedlines.I run 290mm Wilwood Dynalite 4 pot Calipers, they clear by literally a rizla thickness, but they dont touch! ince fitting coilovers I had to fit 5mm spacers to make the wheels clear the front struts. Dynalites provide awesome stopping power in my experience, have saved my life once or twice.

The Nova is nice, looks like a minter and been built properly, as for PVS tell your mate bring it on. lol Nice looking Nova. Hes running similar 1/4s to me. DOnt know about after re-build, well see how he gets the power down.

For everone slating this car, It is absolutely 100% sex on wheels.

I know it just looks like a nova gsi, but thats how i like it, nice a subtle with an engine to scare the living **** out of most people.

I met Andy at East coast extreme a couple of years ago, think it was running around 280bhp at the time, and the build he has done on it is a real quality job! and the car does go like stink! Altho i didn't get to go up against him down the quarter mile in the end in my 276whp crx because his car ripped one of the shafts the shreds on the launch.

Wouldnt mind seeing it again, may pop to ipswich to see if i can spot him out and about tonight :P

it was a modified gt4 he came and waited for to have a race so I couldnt resist kept with him up my own runway that i own, then he hit the speed limiter at about 120mph nova said bye bye

the point being that my nova was quicker than that particular driver in that particular gt4

The nova is "pleasent" but not to my taste, but then i dislike the look of the veyron.... but do appreciate the enigneering in there (similar in that case to this nova if its got the engine its claimed to have)

but at the end of the day does it really matter what people think of a car aslong as the owner is happy with it?
