Right whats everyone think of these wheels, I quite like them but they are 35 offset an require a little work to fit them. Change them or stick with the corsa ones that fit perfect but dont look very exciting?

spray the corsa ones white. but comp look ace.

surely you need 4 burgos to make a car move?

Which ones weigh the least? Maybe keep the Corsa ones as road wheels with some decent tyres for rain use, then use the MOs for slicks/cut slicks to improve your quarter mile time.....

Jack

Mo's - lighter and stronger. I wouldn't have thought a duff offset wheel would be too much of a problem if you're doing quarter mile runs, but could mess about with the handling on a track.

I think the mahoosive I/C poking out the front kinda defeats any chance of the car being "sleeper" LOL

I reckon that if you paint the corsa ones satin black, they will look much better than the Compo's. Why can't you have both?
My votes for the Corsa ones. My car currently sits on them and they look awsome in satin black.

EDIT: Just asked the wife and she agree's with me.

Thec corsa ones weigh less, also if anything i was going to use the mo's for road an the corsa ones for track. Purely because 15 inch is better for that, cheaper tyres and i can run bigger profile without any trouble.

But I pretty much decided to just stay with the corsa ones today, as they work very well at the moment. Thing is though i have some odd wheels that i use for my race tyres lol, was trying to get rid of that.

Nice to hear your sticking with the current wheels. Are you going to keep them as is or paint them?

Love the race seuplol Its not what it looks like, its how it goes ;)

What about some Astra MK3 GSi Fanblades???

Given the choice, go for COMPS.

Anyone who disagrees is either a woman, a queer, or a mental.

Philsutton
07-03-07, 08:35 PM
Astra gsi fans are crazy mass, i almost snapped my back when ever i pick one up lol. Also i painted my old intercooler black so thta it was hard to see but after time and many pigeons later it looked poo.

The painted dark corsa ones sounds interesing though, but then again i shouldnt really be concentrating on how it looks but more on how it goes. An on that note i have only 80 miles to go before im run in properly, then i just need to set it up as its not running exactly mint lol

Dunno if you have seen mine on the same wheels byt in satin black, looks mint (obviously just my opinon). Better than I thought they would look. Plus your car looks great with the stickers, so a little bit of making them look nice is always worth doing.

They look rather good, especially with some very expensive rubber on that never last as long as you want it to. Thougt you had some multi spokes on yours anyway?

Dar
07-03-07, 08:54 PM
I have four set's of wheels for mine. I need to put some new rubber on some of the other sets though.
Those are the trackday wheels and tyres. They will also double as the sprint set this year, until I can afford some slicks. Im hoping Toyo will come up trumps with that as well. According to their salesman they will be introducing softer R888's and also slicks this year.

Philsutton
07-03-07, 09:01 PM
oooh could do with softer ones, although after 10 laps of donnington mine are now seriously ****ed which is quite worrying.

Lee
07-03-07, 09:51 PM
Soft ones will flake off a goodun I rekon. Im more interested in the harder compound, id be happy to compromise a small amount of grip for a bit more duration. I think the current ones will be classed as medium.

Philsutton
07-03-07, 09:53 PM
well i was thinking softer more for the 1/4 mile, but then again i doubt i'll get that much track time if it turns out im making to much noise again anyway

Lee
07-03-07, 09:56 PM
Yeah, for the strip i rekon theyll be a good choice!! And come down to combe, they have a slightly more relaxed sound limit.

Philsutton
