mk1 strut brace fittin on mk2

hi all, m8 is break a 2litre 8v gte and he has got a front strut brace onit will it fit on my mk2 sr also the 2litre drive shafts onit will b ok for a redtop conversion? cheers

What shape is the strut brace, iirc there are about 3 types, one is straight across, another is crooked, bending up toward the battery tray, around the airbox - these are for carb fed Novas. The other is like matthew 172s sexual strut brace on his mint green, mint nova. heres a linky

i had i straight sparco one came of a mk1 and went on a mk2 with no probs that if your's a straight one

im not sure on the shape of it because havent actually seen it so will ask him 2moz, hopefully be a straight 1 like you said carl. cheers guys

considering that the difference between a mk1 & a mk2 is mostly cosmetic, the brace should fit.
