its a waxy/oil,that is sprayed in doors and the back of wings and in new body parts etc etc.

Prevents water rusting panels.Any new panels need loads of wax oil because water and dirt will gather in arches, bonnets, tailgates, doors, wings, sills, frontpanels, rear panels, etc etc.

and it can be brushed or sprayed but spraying is better because it gets into all hard to get places

no - dont think you can overpaint it. theres 2 types - theres underbody sealer and standard waxoyl.

Underbody sealer is as its name suggests - it remains slightly sticky afterwards and pliable .

Standard waxoyl is what you line your doors with to protect them lthough it stinks the inside of your car out for ages.

If you spray it, place the can into hot water to loosen it up 1st - makes it easier to spray. you'll also need one of the waxoyl applicator guns - get them from halfords for about a tenner.

TBH I came across some stuff in B&Q the other day I may try - similar to underbody sealer - it's roof sealer. Theres hardly any smell to it and when it dries its like a rubber skin. Think I'll use it on the inside of me doors. you can build it up and apply it to almost anything.

I was waiting for my freshly undersealed arches to dry :wtf: If it doesn't, won't various road crap get kicked up and stick to it?

Yeah, but that'll just make it thicker.

I used Tetraseal on the inside of my doors and inside the arches and it seems to have dried rock hard lol.

One downside... it's quite heavy

underbody sealer is good if youre applying it to existing sound proofing/shutz.

Rocker shutz (tetraseal underbody paint) is good - sprays on thick and gloopy and dried solid - like liquid dynamat. helps protect arches and sound deadens car. you can buy it on ebay but you need a special spray gun to apply it (can get disposable ones pretty cheap).
