Hi, I've just joined the forum and thought I'd put up a thread for my car. Haven't actually got the keys yet lol, but should have within a week or two. She needs a bit of TLC, but hubby's more than happy to tinker away with her. Whilst he's doing that it gives me time to actually do my test :p. Anyway, I'll stop ranting on...This is my Nova 1.4 SRI as she sits just now

Hey, thanks for all your comments :) The wheels are on the list of things to do, although I'm having difficulties finding a set that will fit into my plans  I'll get some more pics up once I get her sitting outside the house! 1st thing I plan to do is strip the interior out to give it a good scrub, she's been left to sit for over six months now and mould is spreading fast throughout :(

what are your plans body wise, if you let us know maybe we can find some alloys that would fit in with your plans and look spot on :thumb:

Bodywise she's going to stay pretty standard, I'm not keen on bodykits! But she needs the rear arches repaired, a new drivers door and the grill replacing as the previous owner's cut a nice hole in the current grill lol Hubby's got a replacement grill and drivers door sorted for me, just needs to get them picked up. Also, the tribal decal in the window has to go :tard: As for my wheels, I'm planning to get a set powder coated. Bloke at Topgear is happy enough to carry out the work...but it's finding a set that'll work well with my idea!

Could someone post a pic of comps? My original idea was based on the Momo Corse wheels that hubby has on the MK3 Astra Estate
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e121/zobouk/Astra/Wheels2.jpg
I wanted to have the lip powder coated in Cobalt Blue..but as it has a polished lip and is machine finished it's too complex. I then toyed with Wolfrace Pro Sprints, but not all that keen on them
Moneys not really an issue, got time to save lol

Just thought I'd put a quick update on..bloke came round at the weekend with the keys, but I wasn't in! So, hopefully by the end of this week I'll have her sat outside the house and get more pics up :thumb:

Updated 18-03-07
Got the keys and the paperwork now :D Fair bit of work has been done to her over the years, someone even had her Rolling Road'd in 2001 (98 BHP) and Crail 1/4 mile in 17.23. Just need to wait on hubby getting back next week, so I can get her moved to the house! Then the fun can begin, alot to get done..dead battery to charge for a start

Nova SRI

Well she's now sitting outside the house, alot happier at that! A long list of parts to go through, shall replace them all in my own time lol
Dash needs replacing
Interior plastics all need replacing, due to someone hacking holes in them!
Front seatbelts, Both rear quarters, boot locks ceased, Clear lights for front and back.
Engine wise...well thats still unknown as the battery has been causing a few probs!
From what little power we manage to drain though I found out that the leccy windows work :D as does the alarm and immobiliser.
Not much else to say for now. Will get pics up later.

Hi :) They are indeed TSW Stealths. I had considered selling them, but for now I'm going to keep them on because I'm actually starting to like the look of them lol

Firstly, up close pics of my arches...

Then we come to my exhaust centre section, burried beneath a tonne of silencer paste we came across this...

It wasnt fitted correctly to the downpipes, so we're unsure as to whether the correct pipe has been used, can anyone shed any light on this matter?

Lastly the inside had a bit of a tidy up as it was rather tatty. It had a calibra 4 spoke steering wheel that was rather worn and mouldy, so I've replaced it with a standard SRI one
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e121/zobouk/Nova/nova11.jpg
Dash has all been taken out as there was wires coming from allover the place, holes cut everywhere and a tacky paint job
