im wantin perspex windows but its on a road going car so few questions.

1 - do they steam up any more then glass ?
2 - if you have sliding flap are they unsafe or lockable (air tight ?)
3 - if it isnt practicle to have sliding flaps do they work with leccy windows ?

any help appreciated
cheers

you can have a sliding flap, you can have electric windows but perspex will scratch easily, your best going with polycarbonate

i dont know if they steam up badly, they would be legal for road use, but security might not be as good as people will know you just have plastic windows

The polycarb that my rear 3 windows are made from is 250 times stronger than glass!!!

They do steam up easier than glass, but not that badly.

it is a pointless mod on a road car tbh.

The sliders will rattle like mad and drive you crazy. They are not very secure.

And no you wont be able to make the window go up and down and when perspex/polycarb are fitted the corner window at the front is removed and it wont fasten onto your runners.

Thought polycarb scratches easier than perspex even though its stronger due to its softer surface?

if your going for weight loss, but still want to retain use, then get the rear 3 done in polycarb, have the front 1/4 light made in polycarb and have MANUAL windows for opening.

not going for lightweight road use i want them flappy things because i think they look good

but failing them ill have leccys for my road goer and get them for my track car (when i find a suitable shell)
