<< recently upgraded from tiscali dial up to Virgin Media 2 meg broadband for a tenner a month.

Also ditched my BT landline and got that with Virgin Media as a package deal so I didn't pay ?25 installation fee.

Nah didn't get the tv.

Just phone and broadband.

Ex-NTL ie Virgin media cable tv is sooooooooo gay.
The programme guide shows about 5 channels at a time and it takes ages to load each page.... the gayest of gay.

We just have freeview as we don't watch much tv.
Normally on the Xbox 360

lol that works well.
A lot of places operate under a "if you don't ask, you don't get" policy as they'd rather keep your business.

Just rang BT, sorting out some broadband, paying for 8mb connection, can only get 3Mb on my line so thats fair aint it, paying same price as everyone who can get 8mb

When i first had dial-up it was about 8ish years back, and just couldn't be ****d change to BB lol Guess i have no choice now. Bastids

And for anyone that does believe i still use dial-up, want see my connection screen? Connected at 48kbps, WOO lol

ive just been doing a bit of reasearch about this and because of the rivalry between branson and murdock is seem that the cable customers loose out, and the freeview customers will feel it in the summer as well, coz any sky channels on there will be removed by early summer.

Im a Tv aerial engineer and also fit a bit of sky here and there, and can honestly say that customers of both sky and cable are getting pi88ed of with paying ever growning monthly subscriptions.

murdock is getting to big for his boots, its just a bullying tactic with a vain attempt at getting people to leave cable and defect to sky. I see at least 1-2 people a day who have had enough of paying sometimes as much as ?50 per month to sky, who are going to just have a nice new digial aerial installed and get themselves a couple of freeview boxes, the aerial pays for itsself in about 3 months, job done. so if any 1 wants 1 fitting you know where i am, lol

That's exactly what we did.
Paying for 3 million channels... watched about 5.

The only thing I really miss is sky 1 for Lost but to be quite honest.... I'm not bothered now anyway.

Thats only the old Pace boxes, the new samsung boxes are just as fast as Sky. However now its lost Sky channels is certainly heading in a homo direction. If it gets them back its well worth the ?5 extra it costs on top of ?15 for 2meg BB, which being cable is alot faster and alot more stable than telehphoneline/dialup BB.

Oh the good old days of 56k, dunno how much i pay for my internet but i was supposidly gonna get an upgrade from 1mbps to 5mbps but i only got 3.7 so far! Never mind i think its about 15 quid a month anyway, if i had 56k i would never go on the computer, may even be 2 stone lighter!:plol

Adam

56k is ok ish for viewing webpages, its just loading pics/dl video's/music that kills it. And its crap for ebay as it takes about a minute to wait for the Comfirm Bid page load, so much for last minute bidding lol
