wiring redtop coilpack into gsi loom help!!!!

as it says. ive changed nova loom 4 a gte as my gsi loom was fuc*ed.
my problem now is i cant get the fuel pump 2 work.
i can buy pass it and i no it works from the fuse board back to pump but i cant get it to work off the key.HELP....... any body now wot the prob maybe,do i need to fit a switchable live. its doin my nut in

the fuel pump will only work on the xe when the engine is cranked unlike you gsi engine.

And there are loads of post on here about how to wire up an XE

dodgy fuel pump relay?

try giving it a sharp tap with a screwdriver handle to shock it into life.

THe xe loom shouldnt even need to touch the Standard nova loom in more than 1 or 2 places so a change of nova loom shouldnt make much difference.
The xe loom is self contained only needing to be tapped in to the perm power, cranking live, fuel pump etc etc. Have multimetered the vaious places that should have power?

well my mate is helping me and he's fitted a red top before to his nova then changed it to a let,but this is the first coil pack one he has done.
we didn't know if there was any difference in wiring it in.
mite just be a broken wire as we found a break in the live wire from the ignition
