was thinking of gettin a lil more power from my 1.4sr before doing a transplant,i only want something cheap, wat weber carbs are available and what cars are they from, what power am i to gain rougly on a 1.4sr engine which runs like new? what sorta price etc, single carb only

Weber 32/34 is expensive new, about ?50ish 2nd hand. It wont give too much of a power gain, should feel a bit better tho.

Weber is a good mnod over the std carb IMO. My old 1400SR had 94bhp with a 32/34, K&N (obviously) & a Jetex centre section.
That was done at Novatech.

Otherwise its not worth it, wait for the better engine & save the cash.
