Probs with bonnet lifters?

Loadsa cars ave 'em ...and loadsa peeps say that their bonnet aint EXACTLTY straight.
it lifts up a cm or two on one side, near the front, some near the back etc..

is this true most of the time if you want bonnet lifters??
I am thinking of getting some from pvd.

Sid - Dave's got them on his car and they are fine, they look mint.
