Anyone have any idea how a screen can be put into a mk2 dash, cant see a motorised headunit job working, will it?? Im confused
Pics would be super duper
Cheers jim
cut the vents out and mount 1 there ?? ive been told a motorised screen needs packing out from the stereo hole and will look terrible, or visor screens ??
i had a pair of 8 inch screens in my sunvisors, its a really good idea because any passer byes and theiving scum woud never know they were there. they looked well trick.

One down side, you crane your neck to watch something the same size as your phone. Pointless.

thought about mounting a screen my self at 45 degrees down on the centre console and use it with one of the dvd/cd small screen jobbies

On a mk2? You have to look down at them, and as i said before, really small screen, best bet is to get a head unit that can play dvd's such as :-

and then hook it up to a screen or 2 in your visors?

did you have to chop the air ducting behind?
Yeah just a bit !!
Lot of chopping involved, ended up having to make up some new heating ducts from some flexible tubing, ended up not having much power from the blowers to ... but i had a PS1 so i didn't mind !!

ive seen some screens that you can get seperate to the headunit and mount pretty much any where you want!im going for a wireless sony screen!has quite a few differnt fixings kits so that you can have it on a flexi arm on the dash and then take it of at night! im probz going to get a 3.5 inch headunit dvd player and go with screens in the sun visors!!!!!should be quite trick when its done!its worth it...its a nova!

Do ya have to inform ya insurence if you modify anything in your interior or add things .. such as diff seats... dvd players ... etc... ??
^ Yep. With Admiral, I've listed "Interior Modifications" on my GT4 which covers me for most stuff lol

I still haven't fitted my screen due to the nova being off the road. What I have is a one-off fibreglass housing big enough for a 7" screen. Its a direct replacement for the clock, hazard switch and cold air vent housing and is a bit taller but same width.
