Got a second hand K&N for a set of steel to go onto my 1.2

Fitted it with no problems except what do i do with the two tubes that connected to the old filter? Should they be sealed or re-directed?

Thanx

I left both open....the small one draws air into the inlet manifold, which when you think about it, does the same thing as the Ecotek CB-26P thingy does i.e. causes turbulence in the inlet manifold to improve the suspension of the fuel, hence better combustion and performance. I can't think of any other reason Vauxhall would have this pipe, other than to do that. I removed the pipe from the manifold completely to be honest.

As for the large pipe, that's the sump breather pipe...block it up and the bottom end could go pop! I fitted a RamAir filter to the end of it to stop any crap getting into the sump. Try and place this so it points up-wards, 'cos if it hangs down, oil will leak from it.
