Need to be able to access the car from the out side. So you could fit a tvr style button to the mirror.

I have de-handeled doors that work off my clifford remote and was told as long as the mot bloke can ope the drivers door from the outside (remote) it will pass and it did no probs.

They have to be able to be opened manually, not remote etc..

As if you crash someone attempting rescue you wont be able open the doors as the remote is in the ignition with key,Lol.

it has to be manual

not sure what you mean there Stu?

If you mean manual as in no electric then you are wrong, you can use solenoids but operated by a button from the outside of the car for the reasons that have been said already.

Or, you could just take it for the test with the windows fully down and isolated, then it is possible to open from the outside by reaching through.

Manual as in manually being able to open them, via external button or something..

When i had mine tested it failed due to the fact there was no MECHANICAL way of opening the doors from the outside. If the car rolls on to its roof, battery power may be lost etc, and if your doors are on a button operated solenoid, there will be no way of getting in!!!

^^ what he said lol. I think its a bit hit and miss as to which tester you go to. At the end of the day, if ur car has been rolled, its a nova, so the doors are probley not going to open, will need to smash the window anyway. lol
