Well the top cover suggests its not a omega V6 (but then again that could have been fitted so the fat lard **** V6 would fit in in the first place).

to mke a 3L like that,

you need to use the omega 3L bottom end, and the cavalier, 2.5 topend, with 3L cams, there approx 210bhp!

Don't think youcan fit the Omega 3.0 duel ram air thingy in a Nova bay, hence why people use the 2.5 head etc etc

i personally dont rate the v6 conversion in novas and corsas, for all thehastle and power i think you are better with a c20 let

ive driven a 2.5 v6 corsa, and the handling on it is hellish, it wants to pull you all over the road and through someones front living room before it will go straight, even though c20xe/let novas and corsas aint much better they still handle a bit better

you can just change the inlet manifold and use 3.0 heads etc.

3.0 heads give slighlty lower compression and have sodium filled valves. these also had lpt turbos fitted the front bank in the saab's.

They are very good engines. Lots of people banging on about head gaskets going on them, lack of power etc. this is usual through neglect, or faulty heat exchangers. I've lots of c20lets, xe's v6's eco earwigs etc. I prefer the v6 to them all. With a de cat and good intake they give 180bhp+ easy. You need mega mods to get that from an xe. Let's are a nightmare..... never had one run consistanly for more than week. One day it balistic, the next it feels 30bhp down! had enough of them......

nearly got my v6 nova finished. Cost loads less than an xe to do! (so far.):)
