if it came as a mk2 keep it mk2, mk1's are ace they look old skool and really basic, the mk2 has a more modern look about it *for a car of its age*

there is a car on here in the feature section (no idea what part you'll have to look) but a guy has put a mk1 front on a mk2, some people who commented if i remmember correctly loved it.

personally in your case i'd leave it but each to there own i say

how can it not look right? its the original shape! so sports and sr's dont look right?

i think both look good as each other tbh. mk1 gets my vote though bar the horrid dash and plain interiors.

I Think Maybe I Might Go With The Mk1 Nice And Low !

The mk1 has better plastics, the mk2 , at least as opel says, used to break pieces and bits off...
I've seen older mk1's from 1984 looking better on the interior than mk1's from 1992, usualy the glove box breaks a lot on the mk2, at least that's what i've heard from Opel Portugal.
i allways had mk1's tough. ugly but reliable

Some plumb had mk2'd my GTE before I got it... paint looked quite fresh as well so I quickly undone all the hard work and put it back to a mk1.

It's the same deal for me as personalised numberplates.
Just leave it as intended.

IMO if its a MK1 as standard, leave it a MK1

If its a MK2 as standard, leave it a MK2

Saying that, MK1 dashes are hideous!!!
