Shi* Fanbelt

Has anyone else had \ experiencing problems with their fanbelt slipping? I tightened it about two weeks ago, and the hurrendous screeching (usually lasting bout a minute while increasing revs going up through gears) stopped, but as its got colder overnight, its still at it a bit in the mornings. I know the times prob come for a new one, anyone have any recommendations or tips on either the situation or fanbelt itself?

Well mine sort of does that, not horrendous screeching though...I think hte alternator bearings on the way for me.

Have you replaced the little rubber damoning thing on the bolt arm?

yep, had that, the screeching was proper loud!!, i just tightened it, and it has now stopped, altho when it rains really hard it still screems !!

mine screams if it gets some damp on it,I always pretend its not my car,and look round trying to see where the noise is coming from!

I want some 15"s!
