Im considering purchasing some of the above!-with 195/50/15 tyres,as a package, but the place were not v helpful on what offset they were etc etc,and tried to persuade me to get some joe sport 15s,which are apparently perfect fitment for a nova, which is good, but they look fairly minging!-so what sorta mods would I need to do to fit these wheels?-would they fit better with 45 profiles?-will I fail the MoT with them and how low can the car go on 15s like these?-so many questions, but its as Im dumb...

I want some 15"s!

at least he's honest !

It wont fail the mot, you would be better off with 45's and you will need to fold of cut your rear arches.

Mickys guide for wheels is pretty useful for this sort of thing, but really you need to find out what offset they are!!! cos if they are too far out then they will cause all sorts of rubbing problems and you wont be able to carry passengers in the back of your car(I suppose that is an excuse to take the seats out and put a rollcage in!!!)

2.0 16v on its way soon!!!! :D

true,I will try to find the offset out ASAP-the only other alternative is fox alloys,or if anyone has any tidy cheap 15s...

if there was sufficiant metal there to machine off and the wheel would not fall apart!

its a tsw stealth wheel.I got them v cheap and like the look.Just don't know whether sell and get new :-( or machine to fit. what does the 35 mm offset actually mean?

its mounting is 35mm off the centre line of the wheel. most wheels are machineable coz they are made to a negative (me thinks, but u proabably will be corrected) offest then machined down in the factory

does that not mean that a 35 mm wheel would sit 14 further into the car and meawn that i need spacers or do i need top machine 14mm off the wheel?? I'm confused!!

needs 14mm taking off it.

my mate with the manta has just fitted 16" ET18 to it, i put one on the front and the wing sat on the wheel (jacked it up fast!!) lol

Bugger....about the Manta off-set that is!
I'm still considering a Manta, but was wondering if my wheels would swap over....they're ET49 so obviously won't go right on a Manta then! I could use spacers though! (mental note....use spacers, then I can still get a Manta and keep my 15s :) )
