Cause i got 40's the alternator needs to be moved down so it dont get in the way of the carbs therefore making the existing fan belt to big. I got a fan belt for it ages ago but cant member wat car i said it was for, and now it must of stretched and is squeelin quite bad. So if u got 40's wat cars fabelt r u using. I sin a few but there to tight to get over the pulleys, so its gotta be big enough to fit over the alternator and waterpump but not to loose when in place if tat makes sense. Also ive tryed adjustin it by movin the altenator up but its touchin the bottom of the one carb therefore cant tighten the belt no more.:-/
