I feel like a bit of a dummy for asking something so silly but not sure what to do :)

I believe I should drain the coolant from the hose at the bottom of the radiator. However the screw clip for that hose is facing the side of the engine bay therefore I can't unscrew it. Is there some other way of removing this clip, removing the hose, or perhaps draining the coolant from a different location?

why dont you undo the rad mounts and mve it so you can get to the clip. plus you mite find it easier to use a 6-7mm socket on a small rachet

Didn't realise removing rad was that easy. That and a 6mm socket did the trick. Cheers.

I told you remove the rad last night! :p lol

Always use a socket on the jubilee clip nut as straight screwdrivers have a habit of slipping off rusted clips and piercing your hand etc.

Yeah I know you did but I thought it would be harder than that! :p Also the Haynes guide for removing the radiator started off saying "drain the coolant" lol
