My lights on my digi dash have never been as bright as maybe they should be, but a couple of weeks ago they suddenly lit up and were brighter then before. But recently they have gone back to being duller again! Could this be a loose connection somewhere?

yes mine was the same take the bulbs out and bend the contacts so u get a tighter fit

yeah as keith says, prrobably a loose connection. Whatever you do don't break the bulb, because they are about ?7 each !!!

Which ones are ?7 each? The main halogen display ones? (for the speedo, rev counter etc)

The normal warning light are free from the breakers :D Use normal dash light from any Nova and swap them over to the plastic holders for the digi dash ;)
