GearBox trouble

I have an Xe with a F20 box. I was driving home on the motorway and as i pull off n slowed up n tryed to change into 4 i cudn't find it so go it into 3rd and made it home. Didn't think much of it till i try to move it later i can select 1,2,3 n reverse but it doesn't go any where. when u try n pull away u go pst the bitting point and it jst stalls?? What is this?? is it a new gear box??

Feel realy gutted as i've only had the car 1 week!!:( :(

Try setting the linkage.
Its probably stalling because you think your getting 1st, and your actually in 5th or something.

but it could also be the death of the gearbox especially if its staling in every gear, have you hit anything? and checked gearbox fluid?

it could be the clutch not letting u get into 5th an 4th
