Just bought me an XE with an F16 box, unfortunatly the box isnt attached to the engine

now, how is that go together lol the clutch and flywheel assembly are all attached to the block, but the box is'nt?

maybe they took the engine and box out of a car seperately?

im not bothered about how he got it out! and F16's do fit XE's, im asking how it goes back on!

what relation does that have regarding fitting a gearbox to an XE :roll:

Make sure the clutch plate hub is aligned dead centre to the crank.

Then just plonk the box on, you will need line up the input shaft with the clutch plate hub, it might need "wiggling" get it on,Lol.

Might be worth checking clutch condition whilst you have access to it.

top man, yeah i was gonna change the clutch at same anyway lol

I think there are 5 or 6 19mm bolts that hold it on and thats it very easy job.
Or just check in the haynes bibble first lol.
