unless you have money to burn (to fix the rest of the engine/car when it fails) and are building a full on race car i wouldnt bother.

Agree with Phill there, still interested as to what you want to fit it to tho.

well, anti lag runs the turbo upto such a high temp that manifolds are prone to shattering

thats first hand experience on a WRC Evo 8, aswell as countless hours of testing with the lads from PJ Motorsport on there cossies, it waste ****eloads of fuel for a start and is illegal to use on the road, ooh and did i forget to mention that its not exactly cheap either

p.s. has someone seen that little anti lag valve on ebay and got ideas lol

that valve is part of a anti lag system, fitted as standard but not used on some high spec turbo road cars, like RJ's Celica believe it or not, they just blank the outlet off for it from the manifold ;) like impreza's ;)

if you run decent aftermarket management you should get anti-lag with it, however it would just increase your mapping costs for something pointless.

How it works is....

it cuts the ignition and increases fueling when you are off the throttle, this allows fuel to pass throught the cylinders unburnt. This fuel goes into the red hot turdbo and explodes, as the flame/gasses exit at high velocity they spin the turdbo up. (and rip pieces off in the process).

Autronic Management has Anti Lag IIRC

well the idea is for it 2 be going on a let that has omex managment thats surposed to already have it featured but wasnt sure 100% on what hardware is required on let fitting

the mapping isnt a problem as i have a very close friend who works in the dyno room at power tec in peterbourough who specialise in race spec engines , hyabusa powered grass cars and radicals

and as far as i remember theres a valve that replaces idol control valves that alow air to by pass the throttle disk when closed it doesent kill the spark it retards the ignition by 30 degrees on the let of which alows the plugs to fire while the exhaust ports are still open the injectors also continue to flow a high amount of fuel after you back off but not enough to create bore wash
but thats just mild anti lag other forms may be different

i know of the side affects like manifolds melting turbo blades shattering the exstreams of temp EGT baffles beeing blown out ect ect

but my question still remains even though i should have worded it slightly differently

anyone know of any where that supplys or fits the the required hardware for anti lag to fit a c20let?

and no the car in question will only be an ocasional weekend and pod toy

anti-lag tends to be very aftermarket, and as such "kits" dont tend to exist.

everysingle car ive seen anti-lag fitted to has a different setup. ranging from an air injector and fuel injector sitting in the exhaust side to add air/fuel to the exhaust. To just dumping fuel in and holding the exhaust valve open longer (VVT) and so on.....

youve basically got to read up on the methods, pick your fave and then source the parts and fit them in a bespoke way.... maybe you could then sell a kit ;)

easiest way ive seen is to have appropriate engine management to allow you to retard the ignition on let off and to open the idle valve to let in the air plus open the injectors. all of which the management on a car worth having anti-lag will allow you to do
