Rev Counter on 1.2 Merit? Another digidash question

AT LAST I have finished my digidash conversion. Well that is apart from 1 thing. My car has no rev counter but the digi dash does, I asked this question before and was told the wire (green one) sould still be in the loom any way. Well it ain't I got 1 wire left from the Nova loom which is the brown and yellow (choke light) and the green one from the Astra plug (rev counter). Anyone know how to get the rev counter working?

run a wire to the coil to the spare spade

sum novas have coils that are cylinder shaped tubes

the bottom right spade could mean anything!

Walshy said his Nova didn't have a rev counter so I assumed it was a lower-spec model, hence it would probably have the same coil as mine.....and from his response, it would seem I was right. (plus I included a pic to illustrate)

The only ones with the cylindrical coil are the 1.6's arn't they? and they have a rev counter as standard.
I know the single-point injected 1.4 uses the same coil (to look at...may have different spec?) as other models, but not sure about the 1.4 multi-point. Either way, the 1.4 mutil-point is only used on the SRi which has a rev-counter anyway.

So.....my description was perfectly ok ;)

1.4sr carb had round coil
1.2i are square
1.2 carb square
1.0 has wire!!!!
