View Full Version : Getting rid of the Nova

Im thinking about selling the Nova up in order to fund some sort of XE powered Nova/Astra. I'd like an Idea of what price I should sell it for?
I intend to sell it at the end of the summer when its got 9 months MOT, and about 3 months tax, its a 1.2 metallic gunmetal grey 5 door on an F plate with about 75k on it. It has rust bisters on the rear arches and some on two doors, apart from this its fairly tidy. It has nearly new KU31 tyres all round. Ive uprated the brakes to GSi ones, it has GSi Rear ARB, A front strut brace and Apex 40mm shock and spring kit all the way round. I have reciepts for everything (even ones for oil where I changed the oil every 4000 miles!). It has a SR interior, but I ideally want to take the stereo with me. Any ideas on what I'd get for it?

you'll get what ever someone will pay for it.

personally Id not pay more than ?150 for it...

just xe the nova you got....

you know the history pf it, it would be better than buying one,then having nothing but problems etc

This has been something I've thought about, I'm not sure if the shell is good enough to XE, plus its a 5 door... Plus I can't do much of the work myself, my weldings sh1t and don't own a welder so it'll turn out to be quite an expensive conversion.

Not many people want 5 doors, so many people have said they'd want my car if it wasn't as 5 door, so Im not sinking near 700/800 into a car which at the end is still only worth a few hundred quid!

your right, even with a xe in, when it comes to selling it again you wont get as much for it just because its a 5door.

Why?

As said, its worth what someone will pay but 5drs are usually low demand. Could always put it on ebay and see what happens.

Just an example of how looked after this car is mate. I dont take it to a garage to get servicing done as I can do it myself, and keeping the reciepts is the only service history I have!
