Hey lads still havin trouble gettin enough spark got new plugs gaped right new leads but its still feels stuffed and the carbs are pingin and cracken like the spark is goin out. Cud it be cos its a dizzy from a 1.6sv thats knacered on a 1.6gte T40 ???

if your getting a spark through the carb try the timing, ive got the same problem at the moment. you might need a new timing belt

Who set the ignition timing up?
Theres no such thing as "not enough spark" 1.4 dizzy,coil combo works fine on Dan, Jims etc engine(140+bhp 1650cc's)

Popping/Cracking back through the carbs means your ignition timing is too far retarded.

or you've been running your car on unleaded when it hasn't been converted, and its melted the valves, yes it took a while to figure that particular problem out lol

Im getting the timing done tomorrow hope thats all it is,and is it worth gettin new performance pulleys and belt without gettin a new cam and what cam kit wud you reckamend ?
