what it is ive got my 1.2i nova spin, but can not get the standard exhaust backbox off to put on my nice new 4inch backbox. ive used wd40 and hit it with hammer it aint budgin, any ideas? thanks Ian

more wd40 and more hammer, u will find at some point it will just pull off lol

kk cheers mate, its takin ages, i dont really want to grind anything/weld anything incase i put it back standard when give to gf/sister, when i get my 1.4sr or gsi

Also twist it as well as pulling it. Open up the joint as much as poss as well with a hammer and screwdriver. Good luck, it can be a proper pain in the butt.

yeah as dar said you have to twist the ****ers off , and also get a bigger hammer

on my last gte when i removed the exhaust and look the back box off, that bigger better hammer and wisting did shear the pie off at the base of the back box... lol

be careful if the back box is old.

just fcuk the back box and get an ashley system lol, there only ?127 :D

i got rid of the whole system and manifold and got a grp a one :) was amazing the difference it made.
