hi people just wondering what needs chaged on a 1.6 8v gsi to run t40s

The carbs and inlet manifold. Change the ignition for a 14NV dizzy setup. A lairy cam would be helpful. Setup from a good RR place is a must.

got kent fast road cam, full 2" ss system, were the best to sorce the inlet and t40? dose the 14 dizzy just bolt straight on thanks

Ye the dizzy bolts straight on.
Make sure you get dizzy,ignition coil, ignition module and the wiring plug.
The plug needs 3 wires connecting, earth, ign 12v, and tacho feed to dash.

Ebay's probably the best bet for carbs, inlet etc. You will need a round port inlet, which are quite rare to come across 2nd hand, speaking from experience.

do the twin 40s make a big diffrences what sort of power gain ie bhp should i get with mod av already got

Probably about 130ish bhp in total.
Dont forget tho they carbs will need setting up if you dont want to be getting 80miles from a full tank of fuel etc.
