I've started with the drivers side rear bit and once i got most of the glue off i realized that the shade of paint above the strip and under/below the strip are slightly different.

The pictures make the lower part of the car look the same darker blue as the upper part but this isnt the case. It looks like a weird attempt at making a two tone lol.

The darker paint is a layer thicker than the lighter one as i've flaked tiny pieces off. Do i have ANY hope in hell of blending these 2 together?

P.S. ignore rusty door lol

Is that a reflection, or a light strip in the paint with a darker bit below it?

its a lighter shade below that line all the way to the bottom of the car, its literaly 2 tone

Use some Ferecla G3 cutting compound (found at most auto-paint suppliers):thumb:

I used pure gum turpentine to remove the glue on some bumpstrips, it also removes glue when de badging

i have a mate that does car detailing, might see if its worth passing a buffer over it with some mild compound:thumb:
