thinking of doing a rear mounted engine in my nova, does anyone know how you go about gear linkage prety much got everything else sorted
help would be appreciated

you though about the extended throttle and clutch cables aswell then?

i can get trottle/clutch cables made up to any length,

exhaust system? as in enough lenght to keep back pressure??

yes mate.
you dotn need an exhaust for back pressure you can create back pressure at the valves
also have you thought about putting a bike engine in instead ??
used to have a mini with a 900cc CBR engine and its easy to do
just extend aload of cables really lol

Cut this back - about 10mm to start with, as there is an oil seal in there - and extend the rod forwards. then you can fix your gear linkage to it, with a UJ along the way to straighten it up.

bike engine sounds good, saw a 205 in pembrey with one in it, crazy noise but the car was too heavy
The majority of the engines backpressure is created in the manifold and downpipe.
My car ran fine with no exhaust on at all, just the manifold/downpipe.

any idea's/thoughts are welcome got alot of idea's already but help would be great i.e rear sus, diff, shafts etc etc

p.s planning to be done for pv show (there is fourof us doing it)
