random wire

on putting my head back on and connecting everything up i found a blue wire which is running through the bonnet alongside 2 wires that go to the alternator, the wire only reaches around the carb/alternator area, has any one got any ideas of where this wire goes?

Its the dash temperature guage sender.
Clips on the sender on top of the inlet manifold.

is it the alternator charge signal?? or theres one with a female spade on it, it connects to the sensor built into the top of the inlet manifold, but i cant remember what these wires are, but there arn't that many to choose from on a nova :lol:

assuming you havent had a conversion anyway?

sounds perfect as since it was removed by accident my temp guage on the dash has gone round to the end and stays there, cheers, however i cant find where it went on the inlet lol

its near the engine, theres a part on the top of one of the branches of the inlet manifold that has a copper coloured round thing ontop of a nut, slide it onto that sideways, so the bottom of female spade is facing upwards
