i have a spare mk 2 dash in the shed with all the bits and bobs to go with it and and was thinking of spraying it black. or sell it and buy a genuine GSI black dash.

Does anyone have and ideas on how the best way to achive this is, what paint to use ect??

Any pics of peoples home made dashes??

Use Halfords flexible vinyl paint.

yeah - as above - dont spray it - the dash is flexible vynal and paint will crack. if you do spray use acrylic paint

I painted mine about 4 years ago, still looks good - just take your time and degrease the dash before you use the paint

Can't comment on its lifespan as I only painted mine a month or so ago and it hasn't even been fitted yet. However it's taken bumps/scrapes fine and resists being scratched hard with your fingernail so I presume it'll last for a while.
