i had a i.6 when i was 18 it was just under ?1200.

i got a quote on a 2.0l glsi sierra around that time it was about ?2200 silly really as i could now insure a subaru for about ?1200 .

if your just wanting to be able to say "hey iv got 2 litre" to your mates consider a diesel they can be chaper to insure if you going to be doing more longer journeys and not so much stop starting.

a good place to start getting quotes is www.insureyourmotor.com

i wouldnt even bother thinking about runnung a XE at 19 with no NCB! the premium will be more then the value of your car. Just get something cheep to run around for a few years and build up some ncb and then consider it.

Ace, I'm going to make you crash into me then sue you for a very expensive repair, and have your license taken away for driving without insurance :thumb:

Flux are a broker tho arent they, and ur actual insurance is with another company

Adam
07-05-07, 04:56 PM
Think so aye, like HIC.
Probably through Highway insurance.

Most insurance companies are only brokers, there's very few that actually underwrite the policy (i.e. pay out for claims etc)

am 18 and got an astra gsi 2.0 lol

Paul
08-05-07, 02:04 PM
yep, flux is a broker, and insured through highways.

A1 service, cant beat flux IMO. Staff and very helpful, and understand what you mean. Easy to change car on policy, change modifications, and guarantee after 1 year to beat any renewal!

Adam

am 18 and got an astra gsi 2.0 lol Well you can have any car, at any age, if your pockets are deep enough.

Paul

admitidally I paid high insurance for my XE and LET at 19, but even my SRi was 1300-1400, so i thought bollocks to it, another 700 and i can have the car i actually want...

what is it with all these kids wanting big power....

if you want know how much itll be on an XE nova, get a qoute on the likes of an Astra GTE/GSi and thats pretty much what you'll end up paying

and for some comparission, at 21 its only ?900 for me on a Celica GT4 ST185 (204bhp to 244bhp)

white2lSR
15-05-07, 09:13 PM
