Im after some bigger brakes like 16vs, are the calipers off a cavalier 1.7td any good? What cars can i get them from?

Also will i need the rear bumper irons off a mk2 to fit the mk2 bumper onto a mk1, and is there any way to make the front ones?

where do the screws live to take a mk2 dash off and will i need the mk2 heater matrix aswell or will the mk1 one fit?

need to know before monday as im going on a scrappy raid;)

Brakes, try to get 2L ones, think the 1.7td are a bit smaller.

Rear bumper irons are interchangable as far as I'm aware, think the fronts are too?

the screws that hold the dash to the body are in the same places as the mk1, you'll need the heater control cables from the mk2, and the lower cowling from the heater matrix along with the ducting for all the vents.

ok mate, some of the deisels looked smaller but some looked like the 2lt ones.

i thaught that the front irons needed to be mk2

But to answer the question, No it wont go straight in. Its a right job to fit it.

Come to think of it, yes the front bumper iron is just curved on a mk2, the mk1 is pointed in the middle.
