If you've had it mot'd within the last twelve months you can tax it on-line on the dvla website. No need to send your insurance details either as they just check on the PNC for it.

just tax it online then print out the receipt and keep it in the car to show you've taxed it!

Adam

They should do yeah/\

I'd be rather pissed if my car got towed away by the police because they couldn't confirm insurance on pnc.

the law states your car has to be taxed and displaying, so even if you get tax online you still wont be displaying, so exactly the same can happen if your not taxed or not displaying

Adam

Yeah, even if you tax it online now, i wouldn't drive it, as your not display a valid tax disc.

draper

yeah but if youve got a reciept the copper must be having a really bad day to 'do' you, also the police only report you to the DVLA so there records will show you taxed it before you drove it

you will still most likly be fined for the time it hasnt been taxed even if you do tax it online now you will still be liable for a fine.

lol u wont even get caught fella, well i doubt it anyway lol, unless its computerised, altho i do recommend u tax it, if u were to have an accident the coppers will pick up on it and most probably get 'done' worse

if its taxed online, it will be taxed as soon as you've paid, but theres two laws about taxing ,the other being displaying, the police can take it off you if they catch you driving it, usually if its parked up they just report it, its the officers discretion to either take it away or report, some will check to see if its taxed, some may give you a producer

if you do get pulled drive it like you stole it:thumb:

Then find an alibi for the evening and say it WAS stolen!lollol

Seriously though, don't drive it until you can display, just drink a treble of your favourite spirit to ensure you cannot drive and get a mate to drive you.
