you will need r6 carbs as r1 carbs will be overkill on a 1.3, plus as LLTN said probably not worth it over a 40's set up

Unless you're tuning the engine so much that it only really delivers power above 5000rpm and peaks above 7500 i'd say they're overkill for a 1300.
A T40 set-up is easier to build-up and will be a lot cheaper if you can get the carbs second-hand. The BC's will set you back around ?200 just for the manifold.

Not necessarily, watch this space.
Could get a engineers make a flange to fit the head out of 5/10mm stainless steel/alloy, then just weld 4 tubes on to take the carbs.

as lltn said, you could weld up a flange and 4 tubes, then use samco hosing to mount the carbs, a cheap way.
Coudl easily knock that up with a Mig welder.
Pure argon gas welds stainless iirc.

its been done on a 1.2 8v white corsa over brum way. the way i look at is he cant afford a bigger engine so he's making the best of the 1.2 and he's trying somethin diff. fair play. its pretty fast for a 1.2
