1.0 - 1.4 sr engine swap

I have just bought me a 1.4 sr lump with all the running gear. What i need to know is what exactly do i have to change/ swap etc?. My plan is to strip it put a new headgasket, new cambelt, plugs etc etc on. My boss at work says he will have a play with the ports? he does know his stuff tbh but i was just wondering what gains you get in any form or way. Any help appreciated cheers Nobby :thumb:

change the carb to a weber, or t40's ;) just do simple stuff like a 4 branch and system. if you could, you should change the head for a 1.3 sr or if your going to run 40's the sri head

my gafa reckins to run a ford xr2 carb?

yea i supose, i dont know much about carbs, but i think it would have to be jetted to suit the nova

XR2 carb is something like a weber 28/30.

Weber 32/34 is much better.
