help needed!! big time smoke!!

right then i just picked up the car from the garage, had the water pump fitted and new cam belt. before it went to the garage i fitted exhaust heat wrap and its never been drivin with the wrap on yet.

any way i was driving it home then and when i got to a junction there was loads! of smoke coming from the bay, then when i drove off it was obviously just pouring out the back lol.

but would the heat wrap smoke this bad? also if it was the wrap it wasnt smoking from the top (4branch part) only the bottom nearer the join to the system, but then when i got closer to the bay just now it looked like it was coming from the water pump area. im not sure what it is

would the pump do this if its new? lol

yes it has water

any help appriciated, im realy worried now!

lol is it like thick smoke or?? because when we do any big jobs like that wd40 always gets everywhere and takes quite a long time to get burnt off the manifold and block etc. If it is just let it run for abit to burn off but if it proper pure smoke take the fuker back!!

well they only fitted a new water pump. as its got water in it still its making me think now that it carnt be the pump right? as that'd only smoke/steam if it was leaking? also it would be a steam if it was the pump?

so im thinking and hoping its the heatwrap, as i know this smokes when its first run but im not sure how bad its ment to smoke lol

smoke will smell dif 2 steam lol but thats obvious - but trust me mate sometimes we have had cars running for over an hour before they stop smoking especially in this cold weather lol

my mates eat raped thier sorsts on a mk2 escort and a red top, both had the same problem, my mates garage was so full of smoke you could hardly see, its just the wrap bedding in i supose. ;)

Probably the heatwrap.

Altho i dont know if its normal for it to smoke on first use....

Or the manifold is blowing where it joins the system.. White smoke/condensation...
