How do i tune up a 1.5 TD nova? Can u get dump valves for this engine? What air filter would be best and how would i fit it? I've already put a K+N 57i cone on where the first air box is, but i cant take the panel filter out as it seals the top box 2gether. Also what exhaust system would be best for this car- the one i have has a cat, can i legaly remove this as its a '92 model,

Instant power for ur brothers td.An extra hairdryer!! Doubles power :-) Only jokin. Dump valve I thoink can be fitted but ain't much pointy as thwere ain't a very high pressure there.Also uppin fuellin,increasin boost (by gettin rid of boost over ride system i think) and being very acreful helps alot.Supposedly the turbos a ref ragile so be careful.as for the cat through it away.It's not needed. Also fit a straight through system.dunno bout airfilter though mate.
Whos is faster??Td nova or orion?? Whats the top end on that orion??

TD is alot faster, dunno wot the top end o the orion is, cant find a big enough straight anywhere, lol. How would u go about uppin the fueling and increasing the boost? I aint got a clue with diesel engines!

remove all the air boxes and get the k&n fitted almost straight onto the turbo

loose all the exhaust boxes cause the turbo sorts out the back pressure

any nova backbox will fit
there is a magnex one on the trader for ?60

loose some weight (back seats soundproofing etc

also remove underbonnet soundproofing if fitted to lower the under bonnet heat

Is there an intercooler for this engine? How much are they and how do u fit them? I aint got a clue about any o this stuff! If all the exhaust boxes + Cat are removed will it effect MOT emmisions? And after all this, would a dump valve be advisable?

a corsa td intercooler should fit
