V. similar to 1.4sr engine, but 1600cc.
About 85bhp i think.

There ok, much better with nova gte engine tho.

They are good engines I had one in my old car never gave up on me and went pretty well it made 96bhp at on rr and 94 on another with exhaust, 4 branch, optimaxlol , filter and a rr tune.

Quality lump. Not too sure on the tuning stakes but highly reliable and great on fuel.

it'll be better than others as in the 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, but the injection offers around 10BHP more than the carb, it really depends on preference, some would prefer the carb over the injection and lose the 10ish BHP

does anyone know if the 1.6 bottom end would fit onto a 1.2 box, isn't it meant to go on an F16?? so cant go onto the 1.2 which is an F13-F14??

also, is the corsa bottom end the same as the nova bottom end??

yes, all smallblock gearboxes (F10, F13 + F15) all fit smallblock engines (1.2, 1.4 + 1.6) there is no F14 and F16 is a bigblock 'box.

Corsa bottom ends are simular but not the same. Rally boys use the corsa's 16v bottom end with a nova 8v head, it can be done the other way but you got to swap pulleys and stuff.

A 1.2 box(if its a f10) wont fit a gte bottom end(if it has a f13) as f10 bellhousing is too small clear the 1600s fly/clutch.

I think the power difference between the carb 1.6 and mpi 1.6 is close to 20bhp, and the mpi setup will be more reliable and better on fuel than carb.

You'd need swap to a ohc carb fuel tank/lines to use it. And a OHC drivers side engine mount. Then just wire the coil up(3/4wires)
