No 5th gear ?! HELP

Ok, so its on my girlfriends tigra, but hopefully somebody can help.

All gears are fine reverse a little stiff, but we have no 5th gear.
Is the linkage the same as a nova, can it be adjusted? is this the likely story, would it have the plastic balljoint surround that wears the same as the nova?

And if it does need adjusting with the old drill bit technique any tips or prefered ways would be greatly appreciated.:thumb:

as its a tigra then its either a 14 or 16xe which will have a f15 gear box on it , its nearly the same as setting a nova linkage except that you dont need a drill bit , there is a little pin on the front of the selecter , you use that insted of a drill bit , just push it in till it locks in position and undo the pinch bolt from underneath te car , hold gear stick between 1st and 2nd and nip up pinch bolt , job done

Cool, sounds fair enough not sure i can do it in the dark though !! Its a 1.6, ill have a look tonight, preying this is all it is.
