iam i correct in thinking that the twin 45s and 40s etc are made in 1 size and the only thing u need to fit them on to any car is the correct inlet manifold?

is it the same with the delotores?( sorry about the spelling)

sort of. They come in one size, then u fit rings inside (chokes) to reduce the diameter for your engine size/needs and fit the correct jets for fuelling.

i've had the same idea mate,
twin fortys in the paper for about 30 quid i think, completem witm manifold for an XR2 so i didn't bother

40's are really for smaller engines, whereas 45's are for the bigger mothers!

40's run fine on my 2litre. You just have to get the correct chokes and jets. The 16v runs fine on twin 40's with 36mm diametre chokes.

As this engine size is on the border between using 40's / 45's.
