Cut Down Door Pins

A while back someone (cannot remember who) mentioned that they have cut down their door pins so that they sunk into the doors when locked. I tried doing this yesterday and after slipping with the Stanley knife got nowhere.
Any idea who it was, and how it's done.

you need to undo them put them in a holding device a vice makes it easyer and get a small saw (hack saw) line were you want to cut up with the edge of your vice and saw

Dont do it if you do not have central locking other wise you have to get out if you want to let a pasanger in

I tried this (sort of) I look the pins off and cut the bottoms off using a Stanley knife. When I screwed them back on again they sat just as high, do I need to saw down the screw that pokes out of the door that holds the pin in place? I really am useless when it comes to cars. Cheers

have you got the alloy ones or the standard ones??

the alloy ones you can cut i dont know about standard ones but i would guess you you do need to cut the thing in the door
