ashley 4-1 manifold trouble HELP

hey, i fitted my ashley competion manifold today and found it was around 2-3 inch short, i have since found out i need a down pipe to fit this correctly. any help apricated or if anyone has a ashley dowp pipe for sale let me know asap.

When you fit an aftermarket manifold it does away with the nova downpipe

You sure you got the right one?

The SR's have different manifold flange angle to the GTE/GSI

not really sure at all bought it brand new off a man throught nova load and he said he bought it for his gsi and assured me 100% it would fit but im abit worried now.

the angle of the end of the pipe would certainly dictate it being a gte/gsi/sri fitment. any pics or ur existing manifold and downpipe set up?

That manifold looks fine and as normal. Does look to a gsi/gte to me too, altho my sr one looks like that, flange must be slightly different angle tho.

hey i have a standard nova gsi system, i have been in contact with my local exhaust builders and they are goin to fabricate me a peice to extend it and make it fit so might just go down that route. but are the diameter of all the nova manifolds the same?

i had that prob when i did my 1.4sr to 1.6 gsi conversion! had a 4branch come with the gsi engine, but didnt meet my 1.4 stainless system! was too short! had to add a bit on to the 4branch!

Benny F-You either have a SR system and the manifold is a gte/gsi one.
Or your system is gte/gsi and the manifold is to a SR.

i extended it myself, welded a short bit of old exhaust in!

ohhhhhh ok do ashley do a extended down pipe as i had a quote to have 1 made up with two flanges on both ends good and propper and to remover to broken studs for ?65.

Yeh had this trouble with mine i had to get my new magnex centre section cut and extended.

The reason they are short is because they are ment to be used in conjunction with the rest of the ashley system :D

hey i have just rang ashley direct and they have told me that the manifold does not fit a standard 1.6 gsi system. if only fits a full ashley system. and they dont make an addaptor to over come this!
