Well after my last nova died a slow death, due to the tin worm, (it was gettin like a game of catch me if you can), i managed to get this little beauty for ?250, 1 owner, 67,000, and 6months MOT.

So i set about re-shelling the old one on to it, i changed the suspension for my lowered shocks and springs, fitted the anti roll bars, front and rear, and tried my gsi front bumper on for size

then yeaterday i stripped the old interior out, and gave it a good clean and vac inside. Im so happy with the condition of the shell its in really good condition. just needs a bit of tiding here and there, but on the whole very good. while all the carpets were out i decided to run all the speaker wires etc for my amp.

jesus christ that old shell looks worse for wear!

all that sound deadening and foamy crap, pull it out an get rid!! lol the brown stuff on the floor, you'll save 3.5kg from the foot wells (total for both sides) 3.0kg from under seats (again total for both sides) and 5kg from the big section under the rear seats ;)

there was some excessive rot underneath it so in am attept to fix it it was nessesary to remove it, it was just to bad, . Nevermind, that shell had done 130,0000 miles, so i think it had had a good life, lol.

are you just swapping all your goodies across?

Tim
06-02-07, 07:09 PM
yeah im swapping most of my stuff on to the new shell, i have sold the abyss kit to someone on here, and the m3 mirrors. i will be replacing the kit with the GSI stuff that i have been collecting, oh and fitting an xe which i have had sitting around for nearly a year, lol.

i will also be fitting my standard stubby mirrors, which i made myself. and some custom rear lights which i have nearly finished thanks to long live the nova, cheers for the help adam.
