im looking to rent a "council estate garage" as many would call them, but has anyone got any idea of a rough price and where to find out about renting one?

alright mate im after one aswell have put my name on the list but dont know anything else they said they will get back 2 me. You have to go to your local council office:thumb:

Call your local council (they will have a website full of numbers) office. They will probably put you through to a housing officer (why the hell they are officers is beyond me lol) and you get stuck on a list, expect a minimum of 4 weeks even if there are garages free....

You could always buy one on a credit card lol

I found one in my local Trade IT for ?40 p/m. didnt have electric though, so didnt bother.

ive been on thw waiting list for 1 nearly 3monthgs now !!! might put an ad in the local paper

I would put up ads in paper shops, post offices and church notice boards. Round this way, you'd be surprised at the amount of older people who have spare garages (its also quite a community minded thing to do as the old people get a visitor once in a while!!)

lol i pay ?9 a week for mine , no power etc, would love an old barn with electric and water etc but there are non round here

its ?40 every 3 mounths round my way (no power). i had to phone the local housing association. :thumb:
