started it today it run ok until i turned it off and tried to start it again wouldnt run checked plugs was soaking dried them re gapped tried again took a while but started again but sounded like it was only 3 cylinders when you pressed the acclerator it died and took ages to start again the fuel pump is a standard 1.2 internal one wired so its constantly on when ignition is on

well did you leave the ignition on when you stopped it? could have been pumping fuel in before you turned it over and flooded the cylinder?

This happend to my mate.. undo the lead from dissy to coil, take plugs out and turn it over to get all the fuel out.. then try agen, we had to take a live wire of the coil as it was perm live to fuel pump...

what do you mean a standard 1.2 internal one? spi?

its one that is on standard 1.2 novas k reg held in with 6 or 8 bolts 8mm i thought the injectors let the fuel in the ignition was left on changed plugs earlier started ok but after a about 30 seconds it started to rev about 2thou

right before you do anything swap that one for mpi internal one out of a corsa or astra, or anything with an internal fuel pump that flows more.

yes i know that, sequential fuel injection an thus multipoint injection or mpi and also why you need a fuel pump to flow enough an hence a mpi fuel pump.

Fook, ever likely its dieing as soon as you touch the throttle.
THe spi pump operates max at 0.7bar, xe needs about 3bar.

Get a MPi pump in there before you run the engine again.
Also, why is the pump wired constantly, the ecu and fuel pump relay take care of the pump switching on/off.

i dont know why its like that it was like it when i brought it what colour is the wire/wires that control the fuel pump??

The fuel pump relay has about 4 wires.
2Lives.
One to the fuel pump(blue/red)
And one to the ecu.

Leave it on a switch if you prefer it that way...
Just get a mpi pump asap.

what cars are they found in astras 1.4 or any multi point vauxhall

Any multipoint vauxhall that has a internal pump.

Mk3 astra, corsa etc
