i am really needing to do some engine mods to get my 1400 spi nova over 1400cc. I have a few ideas but need some help.

I am thinking about boring it out over a 1400cc but then what problems do i come across? Whats the first oversize i can bore it out to without changing pistons etc? Can i get away with boring it slightly and not doing any other mods?I just need it slightly over 1400cc.

If i done this i would stick my 1300 sr head onto the 1400spi engine but then what carb would i need to use to make it run? do i use the sr carb or the spi carb? what about fuel pipes/pumps etc? I need help soon please!

By putting the 1300 head on it will probably mess up your compression ratio, may be wrong though.

If you can run the 1300 head then get a 1300 inlet and Weber 32/34DMTL twin choke carb.

The later, I'm selling if you want one?

Would need a pressure regulator to govern the fuel pressure down to acceptable levels for the carb or you will have to change fuel tank over to a carb one.

Or find an Irmscher Injection System!

If you fit a 1300 head use a 1300carb inlet, and a std sr carb/weber 32/34.

If you bore the bottom end you will need oversize pistons.

why do you want it slightly over 1400cc? the overbore on its own wont really add much power as such

Im guessing to run it in a rally etc class with a regulation for over 1400cc engine?
